Oh Santa

It’s time to check out the silly song from this week’s review– The Toy that Saved Christmas. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a big fan of the guy in red– and I’m not talking about Bob the Tomato. I mean, he’s red and all, but people have issues telling whether he’s sitting or standing. Come to think of it, doesn’t Bob play Santa in this one. Let’s watch and see…

Ok, so this is definitely the first Winter Silly Song, and if I remember right they’re all about Santa, or some reference to him. I mean, why not? They guy spends all Christmas Eve delivering presents, or fighting with reindeer or something. How else do you think that Randolph’s nose got red.

In any case, quite the cute toon, though I hope there are no IRS agents reading this. I mean, I totally respect law enforcement, and I have paid my taxes. Please don’t audit me!

I never did get the whole Santa eats cookies thing, though. I mean, how many cookies can one guy eat? I sure hope he has some kind of magic to get up the chimney, cause all those cookies– he’d have to have a restroom on the sleigh or something.

Anyway, that’s it for this look at a silly song. See you next week.

You think Larry the Cucumber comes up with all of his silly stuff on his own?! I think not. It is I, Matt Mango, his trusty sidekick, that has helped him get to where he is. What, you’ve never heard of me?!

The Toy That Saved Christmas

Can you believe that Christmas is almost around the corner? Yes, before you know it you won’t be able to go down to Bob’s store without hearing the Christmas music through the loudspeakers– and it’s not even Halloween yet!?!

You can’t see it, but my house was featured in this DVD! Well, my old house. Most of this show focuses on house #4, by if they’d just gone a couple houses down, to house #1, well I would have gotten my debut. Oh well.

This movie is all well and good. George is explaining the Christmas story by telling the story of Buzz Saw Louie, one toy made in Mr. Nezzar’s toy factory (he was saving up for his chocolate factory at this point) that suddenly gets a conscience and doesn’t believe that getting things is the true spirit of Christmas.

After escaping from the toy factory, he bumps into Bob, Larry and Junior who have just had a tumble in the snow. Incidentally, don’t ever play mousetrap with Bob. He lost my rubber band the last time that he was over and I haven’t been able to play it since!

Robin Good

Robin Good is based off Robin Hood, but instead of stealing from the poor, he fundraises for the poor. He and his merry men sell lemonade, and sell games of golf. They understand that it is wrong to steal and they always stick together, until the Sheriff of Nottingham (played by Bob the Tomato) takes a ham that the crew worked on for a long time. Then the merry men want to steal from the king, but Robin Good (played by Larry the Cucumber) doesn’t think that is right. Which should Robin do, should he join his friends and do what he shouldn’t do, or do what he knows is right? more…

I Love My Lips

What do you think about your lips?  Do  you love them?  Larry does, and he doesn’t mind telling Archibald all about it.

Look for a drawing of Mike Nawrocki in Archibald’s cards, and a picture of Flibber-o-loo hanging in the background.
