After Are You My Neighbor, Big Idea made a second movie that takes our favorite veggies back on board the Apple-Pies. Robin Good

Robin Good is based off Robin Hood, but instead of stealing from the poor, he fundraises for the poor. He and his merry men sell lemonade, and sell games of golf. They understand that it is wrong to steal and they always stick together, until the Sheriff of Nottingham (played by Bob the Tomato) takes a ham that the crew worked on for a long time. Then the merry men want to steal from the king, but Robin Good (played by Larry the Cucumber) doesn’t think that is right. Meet the Robinsons

Are you aware of the lessons that are embedded in the cartoons that your child watches?

Take for example Disney’s Meet The Robinsons.  I won’t spoil the movie for you, but last night when we were teaching the story of Cain and Abel we were able to use the whole motivation behind the bad guy in the movie to try to explain what happened with Cain so that he would get to the point that he could kill his brother.

So every day he tries to figure out how to get into the shows while reviewing them for VeggieTales Review. 321 Penguins Save the Planet

Have you run out and got your copy of Save the Planets! yet?  I have to admit that buying a set of shows that originally aired on television and are now being repackaged into a DVD to get me to buy really doesn’t appeal that much to me.

The Amazon reviews sing their praises, however:

If you’re new to 3-2-1 Penguins, they are wonderful. The animation is beautiful, with rich colors, and a three dimensional appearance. The penguins are hysterical, and the messages are meaningful, yet simple enough for a child to understand. Often a Bible verse is used to back up the moral of the story. They are done by the same people who do Veggie Tales, only now everybody has hands.
