Sorry for the bad video here.  Maybe someday I’ll figure out how to import the video myself.  In the mean time, here’s one of the songs from VeggieTales - The Wonderful World of Auto-tainment:

Behind the Scenes of Gideon

If you didn’t find this on your Gideon DVD, check it out here.  Big Idea went to a local high school to find help to play some of the music for Gideon, Tuba Warrior.  This clip shows the drum corps playing louder and in synch with the action on the DVD.  I like hearing this just to hear how talented the musicians are!

On the Road With Bob and Larry

I don’t know how many times I’ve heard this CD.  Or at least heard a couple of songs from this CD.  This is by far one of the more entertaining of the early CDs.  It features both the running commentary (where Bob talks about how every time Larry reads the map they end up at the roller rink, how many Veggies it takes to screw in a light bulb and how many people can fit in a mini-van) as well as the duplicate tracks that can be split so that you can sing the songs without the Veggies singing.

My children’s personal favorites are the “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” medley that they sing as well as the really catchy “Stop and Go with Mercy.”

I find Archibald’s nod to the musical Oklahoma (”Surrey with Fringe on Top”) amusing as well Bob and Larry’s 70’s hit “Ease on Down the Road.”

Any of your veggie lovers get this CD?  What did you think?

VeggieTales: My Day

This song is from the Junior’s Bedtime CD and was made into video for Larry’s Wonderful World of Autotainment.  It features a good Junior and a bad Junior.

The song starts out with Junior reminiscing about his day in a prayer to God.  He remembers the good things he did, like thanking mom for the food she made, making his bed, having lunch with Bob and Larry.

Then it remembers the things he did wrong– like not picking up his underclothes, watching too much TV and not feeding his dog.  Bet you didn’t know that Junior had a dog (or a dog’s tail!).

In either case, Junior finds comfort in knowing that God loves him and that His love was with Junior all throughout his day.
