VeggieTales Review

The appearance of a new VeggieTales episode means a brand new silly song.  And this one is a trip.

Larry forgets to come up with a Silly Song, so Archibald steps in and our favorite Veggies are all in the van from Jonah, this time with Twippo Archibald with the guitar.

They’re on their way to see a biscuit that has some historic purpose, but along the way they have to make many stops, before finding that Jimmy and Jerry have eaten what they think is the biscuit—but it actually turns out to be another biscuit.

Memorable?  Maybe.  Not one of their best, but it is cute:

Why do I call this DVD the return of Phil Vischer?  It’s not because he and Big Idea have a new deal in place.  It’s not because he wrote this script.  It’s not because his voice is in the commentary track (for it isn’t).

It’s because this is the first story in a while that had his imprint all over it.

Vischer’s Finger-Prints

From the very beginning of this story it feels like one of the VeggieTales stories of old.

For one thing, when they’re floating down the Mississippi River, and they come to Muskateen (whoever heard of this town—sorry for those who live there!) the sign reads “Birthplace of Phil Vischer).

Jazz here, and yes, I have been stuck in my room for quite a few days now.  I think this is day six……  Yes, I’m going a little crazy, so I decided I might need counseling, and that reminded me of a song…… Larry and I might have more in common than I thought!

JazzRasp is back!  Profoundest apologies to those who missed me, the last few weeks have been insanely crazy!  But I’m back on the front lines of the Pie War fighting for the younger veggies of the culture and leading the charge against the enemies who are armed with lots of whip cream.
