VeggieTales Holiday Double Feature has two different stories on one DVD– quite the bargain!

The lesson of the Toy that Saved Christmas is that Christmas isn’t about getting, it’s about giving, and especially about the gift that was given to us in the form of Jesus.

However, there’s another lesson to be learned here.  It’s that no matter how much we get, we’ll always want something else or we’ll always want more.  The kids were easily manipulated by a commercial in this story to think that they had to have this toy (Buzz-Saw Louie, a play on Buzz Lightyear).  Sound familiar?

Don’t let the time of year get all focused on what your kids want– instead focus on what they and us should give.
